Try not to let the indicator psyche you out, but also try not to take too long to line your shots up. Unlike playing solo, your shots are always on a timer. It costs money to enter any of the online competitions, so make sure you think about how much you have versus how much you stand to gain/lose before you jump in. There's a much smaller margin for error when playing against others online. So long as you can hit that minimum score you'll never have to worry about wait timers. You won't lose a heart unless you can't earn bronze.So long as you can reach the minimum goal you'll be fine. The compulsion to earn a gold medal in everything will likely be strong, but you don't actually have to earn a gold in order to progress. Since you aren't actually earning money that could be used to repair and restock, you're better off sticking with the defaults. Things like better arrows and bows cost money and are either limited in their use or will require repairs over time.
